Shoppers enjoy Free Parking, Free Admission, and Free Entertainment in the Food Court. Breakfasts are reasonably priced, too, inviting in early shoppers!

During the high season, Mesa Market boasts 1600 shop spaces all conveniently located under one roof. Merchants enjoy the convenience of parking right behind their selling space. Additionally, monthly merchants benefit from not having to set up and break down weekly, as the facility is exclusively used as a marketplace.

A Great Value for Merchants!
Space Rental is as low as $250 per 4-week period for year-round Monthly Merchants. Seasonal Monthly Merchants’ space rent starts at $300 per 4-week period. Occasionally larger spaces become available at an additional cost.

Seasonal and year-round Monthly Merchants are able to set up their shop spaces with fixtures and merchandise for the duration of their lease.

Want a secure place to store your merchandise during the week? Steel storage units are usually available. If you already own your own storage unit, and it meets our requirements, you may leave it at the Market Place for the duration of your lease.

Q: Who must have a State of Arizona Transaction Privilege (Sales) and Use Tax License on file with Mesa Market Place:

A: Any Merchant, who sells merchandise or exchanges monies at Mesa Market Place. Exceptions: Merchants who only demonstrate or take sales leads are exempted. (Some original artists are also exempted from the City of Mesa Sales Tax Privilege License.)

Other Licenses Needed for Vending At Mesa Market Place Swap Meet

Selling Pre-Packaged Foods: A Maricopa County Food Permit is required for all pre-packaged foods sold by vendors. Maricopa County, Environmental Health Division is located at 1001 N. If you’re planning on selling pre-packaged food, plan on getting Liability Insurance, too. Check with the office for details.

Selling Second-Hand Merchandise: The City of Mesa requires a Secondhand License for any used, antique or secondhand items. The application is available online at www.mesaaz.gov/business/licensing or contact the licensing office at 480-644-2316 or email with inquiry to licensing.info@mesaaz.gov

Per Mesa City Code 5-7-1(20), Secondhand is any new or used property (article) that has been sold, traded, exchanged, consigned or otherwise disposed of by the original owner.

The Licensing Office for the City of Mesa’s hours are Monday – Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. They are closed on Fridays.
